Tag - Project Leader

My name is Tag, aka Robot-Horde, and I’m a 26 year old artist and writer.

I fell down the Transformers rabbit hole about two years ago and stumbled my way into moderating and eventually running Shamelessly Valveplugging, a Discord server which was created as a space where adult Transformers fans could gather to share and indulge in their interests without embarrassment.

While I saw people engaging in shameless self expression within the server, at the same time I also saw other spaces that were judgmental and discouraging. I met people who felt ignored for not being “impressive” enough, had been rejected from projects for a perceived lack of skill, or were too afraid to share their work in the first place after watching others be bullied for their art.

My frustration with those spaces led to conversations with friends which sparked the idea for The FIGE Project. While I may not have experience running a project of this nature, I do have experience organizing smaller creative group projects, including the Do Your Favs Dirty zine series and the Serrated zine. My minor in college also focused on the study of arts organizations and nonprofits, so I figured maybe I could finally put some of those skills to use.

Pugsley - Moderator

Hi. I'm Pugsley. I'm 32, and I use he/him or it/its pronouns. Whatever floats ur boat.

I joined Transformers in.......... let's say november of 2022, cuz fuck if I remember specifics. I had a falling out with my last fandom, so I was kinda desperate to fall in love with something, and a friend of mine sat me down and made me watch Beast Wars.

And BAM, now I'm here.

It's kinda easy to see the correlation, imo. Falling for an Imperfect show (and let's be real, all Transformers content is pretty imperfect) means acceptings its flaws- so why is it so much harder for artists to accept their OWN flaws? Why should WE fret over how good our content is if the biggest names in media production don't?

So I've been a fan of the FIGE project idea since the get go, yknow? we're not making ARTBOOKS here, we're making fanmade projects. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be Good Enough.

Hi! My name is Ashe, but you'll also see me floating around as Tulip and Bee! I'm 24 and I've been an artist for as long as i can remember! I'm the token Australian mod.

I'm actually pretty new to the fandom all things considered, only having been here for... just over a year, actually! My first introduction was actually a starscream x reader fanfic! while reading i started feeling that familiar... autism tingle. and I made a sideblog one month later.

I got swept up in some drama involving zines, so I became a little discouraged for a while. :j_sweat: but after the Do Your Faves Dirty project i really started to have an appreciation for the imperfect perfection and fun nature of zines! Its nice to just... make little projects for the sake of making a little project!

Batstorm - Editor

Howdy Howdy! I’m Bats, currently 19, and I’m an avid writer and animator for several fandoms.

I’ve been in and out of TF my entire life, though I only recently got into the fandom side 1 or 2 years ago (I blame ES and MTMTE, lol), and zines late ‘24. I’ve been in a few, had one fall through for chaos reasons, and ended up in Shamelessly Valveplugging because of Serrated, and FIGE because of that!

Being a newer artist to Transformers, zines have intimidated me. It’s exciting to get that acceptance email, but at the same time I don’t enjoy putting my work up for scrutiny (I do it a lot for MAPS already), and so FIGE sounded —and is— really cool to be a part of! It really is hella freeing to be a part of these big projects with so much less pressure, and I’m excited to help any way I can!

Hi there! My name is Six, I'm 28, and I go by they/them.

I've technically been into Transformers since I was about 10 (having been obsessed with the '86 movie to the point where I could pretty much recite the whole thing by heart), but I only properly got into it last year after seeing Transformers One at the cinema. Since then, I've gone just a little bit bonkers, devouring everything I can get my grubby little hands on. My favourite characters include Ambulon, Pharma, Rodimus and Perceptor.

I've both moderated and contributed to a number of zines and fandom projects in the past, and I've got a couple of TF Wiki pages to my name! I discovered FIGE after submitting something to the Do Your Faves Dirty project, and fell in love with the ethos—I'm not always the most confident in my art, so not feeling I had to obsess over perfection was incredibly freeing to me!
